About Us
Focal Point Accessories has grown up out of necessity. I got my inspiration from Tyne
Daly on "Judging Amy" who I first saw using an eyeglass brooch. She was a busy
social worker who did not want to feel or appear inept by hunting for her glasses at the
most inopportune times. She was so good to it, she didn't even need to look where the arm
of the glasses was going. She had it nailed.
I thought to myself: "I need one of
those!" I looked in the jewelry that came from my mother, and there was an art
nouveau circle brooch. I started using it, and quickly became used to it, so that I felt
annoyed when I wasn't wearing it. I got used to being able to whip out my glasses, instead
of fishing for glasses case, getting nose grippers tangled in my hair, having hair
products smushed onto the surface of the glasses or having something annoying cloying
around my neck.
